We at Conferencing and Events would like to wish you a happy new year. As we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 response, we are monitoring the situation and will continue to update this webpage as information about events becomes available. Eastern Kentucky University’s (“EKU”) primary goal during the pandemic is the well-being of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Based on CDC college and university and ACHA guidance, convening in groups carries a high risk of viral transmission. To reduce this risk, EKU requires groups to follow health and safety guidelines. EKU personnel determine gathering sizes in conjunction with CDC recommendations and the Kentucky Governor’s directives. However, as the pandemic continues to evolve, the guidelines and information below could change. In addition to the guidelines herein, the University continues to follow the Policy Governing Time, Place and Manner of Demonstrations, Meetings and Other Assemblies and the Scheduling Of University Facilities Policy. To the extent these guidelines directly conflict with either of those policies, these guidelines shall govern while the state and university is under a state of emergency, pursuant to the University State of Emergency Policy.

Eastern Kentucky University has worked to estlabish policies & procedures to enable groups to hold meetings & events during these unique times. We strongly encourage monitoring offical EKU channels of communication (email, social media, etc.) as these policies & procedures evolve and possibly change on short (or no) notice. EKU is actively working with its community partners in order to be proactive in maintaining the health and safety of EKU's campus and surrounding communities.

As part of the Office of Engagement, Regional Stewardship, and Government Relations, Conferencing & Events provides assistance with planning, organizing, and facilitating a variety of conferences and events across EKU's campus. Housed in the Carl D. Perkins Building on the easily accessible South-side of the Richmond campus, the department of Conferencing & Events provides convenience, enrichment and support to educational, corporate and non-profit organizations considering venues for meeting space or a myriad of special events year round.
